The implant is placed in a minor surgical procedure under local anaesthetic, then left to integrate with the bone over a few months. Once it is solid, we attach a custom crown and you are back to biting into apples. Throughout, you will know exactly what stage you are at and what comes next.
Is an implant the right choice?
Implants suit many people with one or more missing teeth, but bone volume, gum health and general health all matter. Sometimes a bridge or denture is honestly the better recommendation, and we will tell you if that is the case. Smokers and people with uncontrolled diabetes need a franker conversation about risk first.
